Hello. We recently opened a new pool and are really struggling. We thought the Intellicenter would work seamlessly, but every time I open the app, the pool disappears. I have to go through multiple screens and login locally before the pool shows up. Cannot access it at all if not home. The guy that helped with startup said this is normal. Are you all having the same issue?

I'm also having issues with the app acting as if the pool is heating, but when I go outside and check the heater more often than not is not working and throwing off an IGN error code. These are two separate issues. We had the app problem before the heater was connected to gas.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hello. I just created a thread about not being able to log into my Intellicenter. I also need general advice on how to set up my Intellicenter in terms of settings etc for automation. I am frustrated as we've been trying to heat it for 5 days now and nothing is happening. Thank you!

Not normal.

It looks like your panel is not registered and logged into the Pentair server.

Do the Internet Connection Test. If you pass then go to the User Portal and Login to Existing Account.

Post pictures of the screens you get.

The app status is just a suggestion to the equipment and does not tell you what the pump or heater is actually doing.

Has the heater ever ran properly since it was installed?

I don't think the heater has ever run properly, but I'm not sure. I just came out again and saw the heater was off. This is what it looks like. When I press the Heater Off button and then press the Pool/Spa button it turns back on and the Heating Led flashed red and sounds like the heater is on.

There are many reasons a new installation will not light.

You should call your installer or builder back to properly commission the heater. Your installer should "Commission" the heater, which means test everything under load to verify that it is correct.

You should get a "Commissioning" report, which you can use in case of a warranty claim to prove correct gas pressure.

What is HVAC Commissioning & Why is it Important? YouTube video describes the commissioning process.

Is your heater connected to the IntelliCenter Gas Heater relay or by RS-485?

The MasterTemp should be demonstrated to work using its own control pad before it is connected to the IntelliCenter.

Thank you for helping me to connect the app! It finally worked!!

Re the gas. The main plumbing company installed all the equipment. The gas plumber came out and connected their gas line to the heater. The startup guy said he set everything up on the Intellicenter even though the gas line was yet to be connected to the heater.

Who would do the commission report? The gas plumbing company or the pool plumbing company that provided and installed the heater?

Thank you all!

Great! Progress on one front.

And thus is your problem that neither takes responsibility for the heater operating properly.

The gas plumber may not be familiar with the MasterTemp heater or how to operate it either standalone or with the IntelliCenter.

The pool company may not have a licensed gas technician with the proper tools to check and adjust gas pressure.

Since your Pentair warranty is through the pool company, I would call them and tell them to get your heater running. If it is a gas problem, the gas plumber may need to be called in with them.

New heater installs often have air in the gas line that needs to be purged unless the gas tech did a thorough purge of the gas line when it was hooked up.

It can take 20 or more heater starts and failures to push all the air out to where gas is getting to the heater. The MasterTemp will retry igniting three times before it gives the IGN error and stops. You may want to keep on trying to start the heater and see if it eventually lights.

The heater should first be shown to operate from its local control panel. Then you should have the pool company show you the heater operates correctly in POOL mode and SPA mode with the IntelliCenter.

It sounds like the startup guy did a half-assed job of following what is in the Installation Manuals and testing your equipment. Insist they do quality work for what you paid them.

If they fail you we can get you across the finish line.

Hi friends. It doesn't look like my pool pump is working now at all. The app shows that it is on, but nothing is happening. Can you pls help me troubleshoot?

Show me a picture of what is displayed on the pump control panel.

What model pump are we discussing?

Did the pump ever run properly?

It shows my rpm is low. I go in to the settings and changed it to high and still it is not kicking on.

This is my equipment list. Yes it was working (ie I could hear it) but I felt the skimmer was incredibly low. The pool startup guy had it set on a schedule with low and pool settings. Let me get the panel pictures. I uploaded the app pictures.

Intelliflo3 has an optional control panel. So you may or may not have one.

Are you sure the pump is not running at all? Or is it just very quiet?

The connect led flashes yellow on and off.

Sorry it's very hard to get a clear photo of this.

You're right the pump might be on, but very low. How can I increase it to a high setting? I can't seem to do it through the app.

That is the IntelliCenter control panel and not the panel on the pump that you probably do not have.

Let’s understand what is going on. The pump was not properly setup. Similar issues to your heater.

Download the two manuals for your pump from…
