Why bother?

Just reduce the 2" to 1.5" going into the filter.

In reading the forum How to select equipment it mentions you should match your filter to your pump and all other pipes.

Yeah, you should but you have this filter so you work with what you have.

When you replace the filter get one that is 2".

Beginning the project of converting my Hallmark pool from 80s to vinyl lined.

How did this go? I’ve been told not to do that I’ve been told put a pool inside the pool and I’ve been told to tear out the walls and convert to all concrete. I have no idea what to do!!!!

Did they tell you WHY to not do it? How many quotes did you get?
