Hi All,

I’m a new salt water pool owner and I have a couple questions that you guys can probably help me with.

System: Hayward, including Omni PL

Free Chlorine: I’ve been running my filter/chlorinator about 12 hours a day. My PPM levels are around 3500 but im getting a free chlorine reading of ZERO.

I increased the chlorinator percentage and my pool guy told me to run the system 24 hours to see if that brings up the levels.

I noticed that when I increase the chlorinator over 75% that my instant PPM levels start to spike and head towards 4000ppm.

I want to be at 3200PPM with a free chlorine reading between 1-3.

What is the best way to achieve this?? Should I ignore the instant PPM spike and keep a high chlorinator % until I get a free chlorine reading??

Thanks in advance
