We took the cover of the pool and there is this white filmy substance on the walls and bottom. Any advice would be appreciated.

Can you post test results from your own test kit?
I suspect it is organic. A SLAM Process should be followed to clear it up.

All were have its the basic test kit for chlorine and ph.
Chlorine read zero on the test kit
