Both pool water and Spa water look crystal clear. No smell from pool or spa in normal operation. I do have a spillover so I run a trickle from the returns into the spa so that it gets circulated and some fresh chlorine from the SWCG. The trickle hopefully also minimizes the aeration.

However, when I go into full spa mode and all the returns are going to the spa and the spa drain is open (chlorine generator is off at this time) I get a faint but noticeable chlorine small coming from the spa. Is this normal does the aeration that happens from the spa cause something?

Just retested both the pool and spa

Spa FC 8
CC 0

Pool FC 7.5
CC 0

Ph is 7.6 for both.

Full test results from Sunday are in my pool logs.

The rapid aeration is releasing the CC more rapidly. I would not consider that an issue.

I assume the spa is not covered.
