Yeah, my wife had no side effects and kept on wondering if she got a dud shot.

Be happy!
I am happy. Just makes me wonder why though. I guess I'll chalk it up to why some people get covid really badly and some get it n just lose their sense of smell n taste verses being on a ventilator. I never got it while everyone on my housing unit did.

Woke up this morning completely fine. Why didnt I have any side effects? It's like I didnt react at all except a sore arm. I'm puzzled.
Some do, some don’t! aside from my slightly sore arm, I did feel a little drunk the night I got it, but I was OK with that!

"A little drunk", that's a great way to describe it. After getting my #1 yesterday, I felt a bit tired and like I had a "brain fog" during the afternoon/evening. Stupid things, like -- tried to leave my car with my phone without unplugging it, then almost forgot to turn the car off.

Day 2 today I feel fine other than lifting my arm hurts like a B.

When you run out of milk, the kids won’t let you wait ...

In all seriousness it was the drive where I started to realize the “COVID cocktail” drunkenness. :). They should include a warning for that.

You know I'm teasing.. but yea. it hits different people differently.... and if there is anything I learned from parenting... if the kids are out of milk, let them eat Vodka!

Or, if you are out of milk, and your kids want you to cook mac and cheese.... Use eggnog instead...

My kids still won't each mac and cheese and that was 40 years ago..

I bet they have an aversion to Yuletide drinks as well!? huh? Now if you made the mac and cheese with Vodka, it would be a different story!

It’s pretty much the honor system here, too. But honestly the list of “qualifying conditions” is big enough that if you don’t qualify you’ve already won the health lottery. :)
Well, guess I’m lucky. I checked the list, don’t qualify. Not even on the BMI of 25 or more.

What’a funny is I know two people who regularly go to the gym and watch what they eat and are definitely not overweight but because they work out they have a BMI in the “overweight” category and are eligible now. How fast can I add 25 pounds of fat and/or muscle? Lol

But the Wisconsin DHS site said they expect to open to the general public in May, so it’s not far off. And on top of that my work HR said he expects Wisconsin to add a category soon which would cover us, and they are planning to try to get it set up to deliver covid vaccines in our own building for us the way they’ve hosted flu clinic shots in the past.

So I figure no more then another month or two and I’ll have it.

Four days since the first dose. I've been more tired, a bit achy, had a sore throat that came and went. Orange juice and Tylenol were my friend. Oddly enough I never had a sore arm, didn't hurt to lift or sleep on.

I'll be first in line when I'm eligible, but since I'm in my 30's without any high-risk factors and already work from home I'll be patiently waiting for several months at least.
I made good on this. Ohio opened up eligibility yesterday and I got my first Moderna dose this morning. Here's hoping for little to no side effects 🤞

My boys had their second dose yesterday. Today they are a little out of sorts but nothing serious. Youngest accidentally banged his injection site into the car door and had a few choice words about that experience!

I received my first shot of Pfizer yesterday. I got it in the parking lot of Pfizer.
Nice, kinda like Johnny Cash getting his ‘49, ‘50, ‘51, ‘52... Cadillac right from the factory.

I had my first AstraZeneca shot last week. Muscle pain and headache the day after, but I went about my business with a good dose of paracetamol. The effects subsided late in the evening, as quickly as they came in the morning. Sensitive spot on the arm for several days. Second shot will be in June, effects might be worse. Stocking up on paracetamol. :ROFLMAO:

Several collegues were whining like they got thrown under a bus or something. I'm guessing it's mostly nocebo-effect, they were all pretty hyped about the imminent side-effects...

At least you know your immune system is doing something. I'd be more worried if I'd felt nothing.

In Ca, everyone over the age of 50 became eligible on Aprils Fool's day... hmmm. And everyone over the age of 15 becomes eligible on April 15th, tax day.. how special.

I just scheduled my appt at a local supermarket pharmacy. My last doctors appt, a few weeks ago, was a colonoscopy.. so excuse me if I'm still a bit gun shy. I'm still having reoccurring nightmares of snaking out my drain cleanouts with a garden hose.
