I don't want algae in this pool. What is your available schedule for working on this pool tonight and tomorrow?

I’m leaving at 9:30 am. Home now but pool is only 1/2 filled 😩 as soon as it’s filled, I’m going to do the Pool Math amount of CYA in a tshirt and let it dissolve. When do I do the chlorine? Hubby is staying home so I can give him directions. Just 2 ppm until CYA is dissolved then test & use Pool Math?
 
Go ahead and add 1ppm FC if the pool is 1/2 full. Seems like it will be filled in the morning. Test and add TO 2ppm in the morning when full.

Hang the sock at least 6" out in front of a return, you don't want it to touch the sides. After 30 minutes, he can squeeze, squeeze, squeeze to get it dissolved.

How many CYA ppm are you going add?

Once the sock/tshirt hits the pool, it is safe to raise FC to range for your CYA. Link-->FC/CYA Levels

I was going to test first then do Pool Math to get to 50? Didn’t know if the remaining water in the bottom would affect?

50 is great to start. Slam will be short and easy if necessary. I'd test, nothing like practice...my guess is you will fill the tube and the dot will be clear.

Remember, it may take 24 to 48 hours to register. Once it is in the pool, treat the water as though it is 50.

Am I adding the 1 ppm now and 2 ppm when full assuming it’s 0 or are am
I testing and adding to get to 1 & 2?
 
Add the 1ppm for a 1/2 full pool now, even a bit will stave of any algae...it is hot! Make sure to brush a bunch...we don't want it sitting on the bottom.

Assuming the pool is full (1/2 way up the skimmer) in the morning, turn on the pump and get the CYA in the pool, once the sock/tshirt hits the pool, test and add FC to get pool into range for your CYA. Link-->FC/CYA Levels
