Bleach prices 2013

Yes, HDX 121 oz. Germicidal Bleach is the right stuff to use -- it's 8.25% bleach without additives you don't want. You might be able to get chlorinating liquid at a better price. This bleach is equivalent to 12.5% chlorinating liquid at around $4.80 per gallon.
The 10% KemTech may be a better value. It will be in garden area. It's normally about $6.86 for two gallons. I didn't compare the prices.
Just bought no name brand at Walmart here in Nebraska for $2.50 for121 oz of 8.25 % bleach no idea if good price or not as first time i have bought bleach just getting started with the BBB way. But i will be watching and checking prices every where i go now lol

Just got an email from Namco. They have 12.5% gallon jugs on sale for 2.99 starting today, July 19 through Sunday July 21.

rural king has 4 gallons of 10% for 9.99. best price i can find around me. i was currently getting it from costco. they had 3 121oz(8.5%) jugs for 8.50.
Augusta, GA: Local IGA has 128oz jugs of 5.25 for $1.50ea. I think this is a good price, unless my math is wrong.

Ok ... For the rest of the country this is not a great price ... But for Houston it rocks.
Aldi on 249 inside bw8 has 96oz bottles of 6% for 1.24. Works out to .22 an oz of active. Going to cross post to the Houston where's the bleach thread for posterity.

Please can you help me calculate costs for these two bleaches?

Second one is sold at pool store. 12%. 20L for $13.50
The one at the pool store is stored in a vat outside.. Is that ok to buy?

That's what I get... that's about $2.7 per gallon for 12%, very good. That's what I pay for 8.25% at Sam's.... anywhere else here in Austin is higher.

That site helps take the guess work out of it. But you will still have to convert from liters to oz.

Is it ok buying by the re-fillable gallons at the pool store?
I would say so. Im new here but Ive seen post from some of the more well known TFP members talking about using the refillable jugs. I would say, if you can get it cheaper that way, then go for it.
