Bought a home with a FROG pool - need help šŸ™ƒ

No, you are good, they are sealed. Scrub the outside with bleach:water solution. Algae likes to hid under stairs. Quick scrub and you are good.

I cleaned the ladder well with bleach/water and kept the pool at SLAM levels today. I also ordered some more r-0871…

I’m hesitant to keep adding 5ppm until it arrives. We have a pool party planned for my toddlers birthday on the 10th, and I’d like to get FC down to 8ppm and all other levels dialed in before then. I’m worried that if I keep adding 5ppm daily until the agent arrives on the 1st that I won’t have enough time to dial everything else in.

Water looked great today- If you think there’s a 90% chance or greater that it will be OK, I’d like to stop slamming today and use the test block until the agent arrives in the mail. If I see the test block start to get lighter, I’ll add 1-2ppm, until I can get the agent in and test properly to get it down to 8. @PoolStored

The pool is safe to swim in, if you can see the bottom and FC > minimum, and FC <= SLAM.

Do as I said, it is safe. go swim

Quick update: I got more 0871 in today. I was able to test at least once a day since I posted last. FC was never lower than 20 anytime I tested. Water is beautiful but I’m pretty certain there is a leak somewhere. I’m going to start letting the FC come down to 8 and work on diagnosing my leak in the meantime. I marked the level and have lost about .5ā€ overnight but so far doesn’t seem to be leaking more. We will see what it looks like tomorrow. My thoughts currently are that there is some sort of loss around that level in the pool. This isn’t necessarily a new issue.
