What is the best sand for an Intex sand filter?

There are various pool sands available on the market, and they should be marked as #20 silica sand or might be labeled .45-.55 mm. You may want to avoid the Quikrete products as we've received mixed reviews. Once sand is added, it's a good idea to Backwash the sand until sight glass is clear to make sure any dust is going to waste, not your pool. Then rinse for 30 seconds, then to Filter.
