Shoe repairs are about 95% of their business

Both mail in and walk in.

There are two business associated with them - Southern Polished is where they sell shoes / sandals / bags

Potter and Sons is their cobbler business - Potter & Sons

We've been getting rain at least once a week so the final excavation has been delayed. In the meantime I went ahead and set up as much plumbing as I could. Looks pretty much like I had planned out, that never happens.

Is that all glued up?

You have more 90s then necessary.

I've read in the "Gravel Around Pools" to not use clean gravel when backfilling water pipes because water might fill the voids and freeze. However, if you use gravel with fines and water freezes, won't the fines shift durnig thaw and cause setteling? Also, if the water pipes are below the frost line and you only have vertical pipe coming up to skimmers and returns, there should be no worry about pockets of water freezing(?) I'm not too worried about water freezing below frost line, is there a reason to not backfill the water pipes with #57 rock the whole way up from the concrete collar? TIA.

My biggest issue is, there are several major heavy highway and local street projects going on now and rock is very difficult to find. I'm able to get what's called 1" minus clean limestone for $44/ton, or 1" crusher with fines for $37/ton. Basically the same thing as #57, either clean or with fines. I am worried about the material with fines settling after a few freeze/thaw cycles. I also looked into 47B sand/gravel for roads and recycled concrete, but still think clean 1" minus would be best.

I think it is accurate to say that the less voids the better and fines mixed in are better then clean rock with no fines for that purpose.

If you are not worried about freezing water then the discussion of fines is moot.
