I noticed this last year. Now it’s back. Just opened pool and performed slam. Ran dolphin until bottom was clear. Woke up this morning to this. Should I just vacuum or vacuum to waste

Sorry to say it, but Go Blue!

Kidding aside, welcome to TFP!!!

That is plain old algae.

How are you testing your water?
When you say SLAM, what do you mean?

If you don't have one of our recommended kits, get one. Link-->Test Kits Compared

If you don't have a test kit, add 3ppm PER DAY of liquid chlorine until the test kit arrives.

If/when you have a recommended test kit, follow the SLAM process. Link-->SLAM Process

The reason you are getting algae is because you are not maintaining enough FC for your CYA. This explains it...Link-->FC/CYA Levels

It’s actually the SLAM process on here. I do have the test kit recommended. I observe quietly on here but if I have problems I jump in here first. I’m still doing the slam process. This was the first day pool was clear. My chemistry has been pretty good for the last couple days FC loss last night went from 3-6 down to 2-4.

Oh and I agree go Blue. We’re MI transplants.
