HTH Green to blue issues

I used green to blue in my in-ground vinyl liner pool. I messed up and forgot to add the last two bags in the skimmer and poured directly into the pool Turned off the pump and it all sunk to the bottom. I removed my automatic vacuum bc it just shoots the algae out of the top as it runs. Bought hoses and a manual vacuum. I know I need to vacuum everything that settled on the bottom to waste. Problem I’m having now is that I only have about 6 min to vacuum before the water level drops too low and causes the pump to shut off. So I’m filling the pool as I vacuum. Both adding water and me vacuuming stirs everything up again. Any suggestions on what else I can do here? I’ve been using an automatic vacuum for so long I forgot about how little time I have to manually vacuum to waste. This photo is the result after using the manual vacuum 3 times, then adding water and waiting for it to settle on the bottom again. Yikes

We don't recommend Green to Blue, it contains aluminum chloride, which adds metals to the pool.
Do not add any product to the skimmer. The chemicals can damage the equipment.

• The algae on the bottom is most likely already dead. If not, then adding chlorine will kill it. In either case it will remain settled on the bottom until it either gets vacuumed up or stirred up enough to get pulled into a skimmer or drain.
• Vacuuming successfully without disturbing debris on the bottom is PAINSTAKINGLY slow. You have to sneak up on it. Let the vacuum suck it in before you move the head towards it. Many usually lose patience after a few minutes and just let it stir up. The filter will pick it up
• If turning on the pump is enough to stir it up into the water, then it should get caught by the filter eventually.
• If the returns disturb it, maybe try aiming them up a little?

When you filter algae, watch your pressure. When pressure rises 25% over clean pressure, then clean or backwash the filter.

Aluminum will chew up your chlorine quickly until it is oxidized. Plan on refreshing your chlorine frequently until then. Test your chlorine often.
