Check your work for leaks..... and it may be residual air from opening the system up and will pass.
Common spot for air to get in is the pump cover. Check all connections.

She Still bubbling. Would running a backwash an rinse and back to filter help?

Did you use pool lube on the basket cover oring? Also check the drain port orings.

So my basket seal is well lubed. There are two drain plugs on the pump one in front and one on the side. I noticed the one in the side when I tighten it Doesn’t get tight meaning I feel it getting tight then it will just loosen up again. I put Teflon in it but doesn’t stop it looks like a drip every 3 seconds. Do you know if the smaller plug goes in the side or in front of the basket? They seem to be the same diameter but one looks smaller.

That pump does not look new. You said you replaced the pool pump.

The drain plugs are the same size I believe. No teflon tape should be used on them. They should have a oring for the seal.

I’m sorry, just the motor was replaced not that woke assembly. And looks like no O ring on this nut though before swapping the motor there wasn’t an air issue since I started the pool up last month.

Hard to say on an old pump. If the plug will not tighten, it is likely time for a new wet end.

I actually found the plug that had the O ring on it from my box of pool parts thanks for bringing that up otherwise I would’ve never thought of that. Not sure what it can be then. I don’t see no water leaking from the motor where it meets the housing.

Air in the pump basket is a leak on the suction side. So concentrate there.
I ran a few seconds on backwash then 10 seconds on rinse and back to filter and it’s gone. Right now she’s throwing tiny air bubbles that I can only see breaking the surface but before it was a stream of air I could see visually from the returns. Let’s see if these tiny air bubbles fade away.

How does the pump basket look? Is it full? Any bubbles?

Take a look in the skimmer to make sure you sucking air. Check water level and make sure the weir door is not stuck.

Bubbles are back again. So the basket top shows bubbles forming, weirs are both good. Skimmers are not sucking air. The air coming out of both returns is pulsating shooting out like , pop pop pop.

Doing some thinking here. So about 8 years ago when I had the replaster done on my pool the workers drove some rebar into my lawn to hold some platforms, they were using in the pool to stand on in the deep end.
After that job was done and the pool was filled when I went to start the pool up I saw water coming from the lawn & found that they had drove one of those rebars straight into one of my skimmer lines. I attached a photo of the repair I did then.
Fast forward to a week ago now the reason I replaced my motor is that it had gone bad making a loud noise believed to be the bearing but the motor was still running no issues with bubbles in the water, and pressure was normal.
I think the motor may have gone bad because we had temps that dropped into the low 20's one night and I assume when the pump tried starting up the next morning something must have been frozen and damaged the motor?
Now Im thinking could something had frozen and damaged one of my lines and the bubbles were not visible with the previous motor because it wasnt working up to par with the bad bearing? I mean the pressure was normal so I would think if the motor wasnt working as good it would have had lower pressure?
Just thinking maybe since the new motor is working to spec that it could be sucking some air from maybe this repair that was previously done? Is that repair with the two screw on unions a no no for the skimmer line? should I have put a piece of pipe with couplings on both ends instead?
The lawn is a bit swampy there but I did lift the grass up in that area with my shovel and didnt find water. The lawn could be overly saturated because last week with those lower temps I sprung a leak in my sprinkler line and my yard was saturated. Mother nature did a job on me last week,. Or maybe I was too excited and opened up too early. Also I have not had an issue with the water level going down.

Fixed, it was sucking air at this joint of the pump I guess from me moving it while working on the motor. Had to put my ear to it to hear a tiny whistle. Not one bubble visible in the pump lid.
