Actually, in looking at my pictures from last year, I think they may have shoved the collar down too far inside the skimmer. I wonder if they cracked it in the process? The round piece comes down much lower than it should based off the Hayward stock photos I see on the web and in the link above.

I replaced the seal plate gasket yesterday (as well as the shaft seal and the complete gokit package). The pinhole leak on the side from my photo is corrected, but I developed a new leak from the other side - same area. Any ideas how to correct? Should I try to just re-lube and rebuild?
