    DIY 20' x 40' In-Ground Build - In Progress!

ok yall forgive my ignorance.....Ive noticed on vinyl pools that there always somewhat "extreme" slopes on the sides (deep end) and the the mid point transition from shallow to deep. Why is that? Looking at that 2:1 slope, it looks like it is unusable space. I would think you would slide right...

First Pool Step Too Deep, Need Ideas!

My steps are each 12". Walking up them during gunite stage seemed like they were a little tall. Once water was filled, you go up and down with ease. The water will help "assist" you.

    New Louisiana Pool

I had the same thoughts as well...steps did not look like steps right before gunite. Attached you can see my rebar "shelf/stairs" and then finished stairs after gunite.

Sugar Land TX, New Pool Build - looking for suggestions

Just a hunch, but I dont think many magnolia leaves are going to get picked up by any kind of cleaner...except a net. Those leaves are pretty big and I can imagine them causing some issues with a robot.

1st Pool Build | Sugar Land - Skimmer Repairs Done - Hardscape Finished

Howdy neighbor....dont worry about the CH from the fill water, were fine in this area. I have my autofill plumbed to my irrigation system and in our 4 seasons with the pool, the CH always is within 250-400 range.

First time build in Georgetown, Tx. Any advice much appreciated!

Here is our tiered beam with sheer descents. Ive seen other members with a similar set up on free form pools...perhaps they show what they have. Also, get the auto fill. I have one and love it. While the thought of filling the pool up once a week with the water hose may seem like nothing...

First time build in Georgetown, Tx. Any advice much appreciated!

If you are wanting a water feature, have you considered a raised beam with either scuppers or sheer descents? Just my opinion, but the rock waterfall you have is minimal and looks out of place, respectfully. Also, a saltwater pool IS a chlorine pool...the difference is how that chlorine is made :)

Pool Build Finally Started - Bryan, TX (11/4/20)

Was there a reason you did not extend the decking all the way to the house (foundation)? What are you going to place in that small area , rocks?

How to refresh the gaps between gunite pool and paver bricks?

Remove all the existing rubber (silicone). Depending on how deep the gap is, probably need to put some backer rod in the gap and then apply silicone and pour a colored sand to match existing surfaces. Let dry and sweep up remaining sand.

    Swim Up Bar Stools

A $1k add on for new pool construction is pretty cheap in the grand scheme. I like having my feet touch so the ledge sounds like a good idea. Another thought would be, why not cut the top of the stools down like 6"?

    Which Design would you recommend!

Not sure I understand the issue with brushing below the wall. We have a wall with 3 sheer descents and the robot cleans/brushes just like the other 3 sides of the pool. The rare times that I manually brush, I will just walk on top of the wall and brush....no issues.

Yeah, with the corners, youre able to get some of the "curves" from a free form

    HELP!! Need Opinion on shape

While I like the look of free form, I also had limited space to work with and an easement , so to get the most pool space, we went rectangular.

The 3D shot of the equipment pad - make sure those lines are not run up through the concrete. If you ever need to make future repairs, that will make it much more difficult than just digging up some dirt.

    Fiberglass 16x40 DIY install (PICS)

Flowable fill (flow fill, slurry) is like a liquid concrete w/o all the cement. Most mixes are low psi's and you can actually excavate back through it, if needed. It a very fast and efficient way to backfill as JP mentioned, it finds every nook and cranny.

New Pool Build - Houston, TX

I would think twice about queen palms. You may have noticed how many got wiped out with our hard freeze in Dec 2017. My neighbor had to remove the 2 he had. After doing some research, we went with windmill palms, very cold hardy.

    New Jersey geometric pool build

Not sure how wide your coping is, but we have 12" travertine and 3' of deck. That equals 4' of "walkable" space...something to consider.

In-Ground Pool Construction St. Louis MO

Unfortunately, I think this is how any pool builder operates. If I had my builder all to myself, youre right, the thing would be complete in 1 week. I went through a few beautiful days between my install phases sitting around thinking, they could be getting this done right now. In the end, my...

I am pretty sure you have the same PB we just finished with, judging by the Xtreme Micro fusion interior finish . Did Shawn or Quinn do your design? We were highly satisfied using them. Go to Home Depot and get the fencing yourself. It is inexpensive and you can get the job done today, instead of waiting on your PBs foolishness.
