    25k pool; Circu Rj45 or 60?

In my opinion, spend a few more bucks and get the 60+. I've got a 45+ in my smaller pool (~18.5k I think), and I typically run it around 35% for around 10 hours a day. Should be ballpark similar for your pool, but with the cost of materials not going down any time soon it's a hedge. Not to...

    Pool Style Chlorine Eliminator

Just take the cover off and let the sun burn off any excess. Don't spend money on trying to eliminate the chlorine. Instead, get a Taylor test kit to see what your actual levels are.

    Circupool RJ 45+ Installation

I'd relocate the cell to the upflow side and let gravity do the work of keeping the plates submerged.

New TFT reagents, getting much different results

I've resigned myself to only buying the real deal Taylor products for the reasons covered in this thread. I was seeing inconsistencies too until I consolidated on OE genuine products. For me it was better to select the product that gave me confidence the tests were accurate.

Wife is tired of me wasting money on equipment ...

I think you may have missed it, he's using a Taylor kit. But, yeah those #'s do look a little too accurate, you estimating between the steps, mthird?

    RJ 45 installed

I've run mine both up and down, as long as the plates are covered with water it seems to work equally well either way.

    R-0870 rock?

Circling back to this. I was almost out of R-870, and this time I got the real deal Taylor can with the flip top lid. I was very surprised when I opened it and saw a very fine pure white powder that looked nothing like what I received from TFTestKits. Not only that, they also don't test...

    Doing an AA treatment

I need to do this too, cold spell has my water temp down to 50F, and my chlorine levels are down around 2. I have the fittings to build a bypass pipe to get the heater out of the water circuit, so all I'm missing now is purple stuff and ascorbic acid to start. Anyone know how much peroxide...

Chlorine availabilty and cost - is it time to convert to salt

Are you comfortable cutting and joining PVC, and doing some simple wiring? You can install the system yourself and save some money. Circupool keeps your 7 year warranty even on self-installs. Going out of town is no problem with a salt system, it's a simple matter of making sure your levels...

hello Everyone, I am new pool owner and don't have idea how much maintenance need while having pool in house .

I think there's an article on cleaning the filter in Pool School, and there are a lot of YouTube videos as well, but the process is pretty straight forward. 1. Turn off the pump 2. Separate the bottom and top halves of the filter case 3. Remove the filter cartridge and spray off all of the...

I was about to say "what are you doing under the hood of my car?" but then I noticed blue among the dirt instead of white. :)

    C-19 Vaccine-I got one

I am anxiously awaiting more study and conversation on just what you pointed out - why are certain people affected so drastically different? Of course that takes time, and so many people are rushing for answers we just don't yet have. Similarly we've figured out a little bit about the cause of...

    Jandy Aqualink RS Issues

There's likely a darlington array or similar driving the relay coils. When you shorted it, you likely blew that up. Should be a relatively straight forward swap of that chip on the board. Might even be socketed.

    Jandy Aqualink PDA Spillover Mode

In my case I moved the lights off the panel to another device - I was out of AUX ports. Honestly it works better that way, because now the lights are under the control of my home automation system and grouped into that system with the rest of my outdoor lighting.

    Jandy Aqualink PDA Spillover Mode

Have they changed it on the newer models? I recently did this with my RS PDA for the same reason. I just had to flip one DIP switch and re-cam the JVA. The DIP switch was labeled on the inside of the door, and it "stole" one of the AUX ports and made that button instead control the spillover...

Coping tile came off - Suggestions

I had to re-set some of mine too when I bought the place. It was pretty simple, did it just as Bperry described. They've been solid for the past year. I bought a full bag of Type S mortar, did all the loose stone as well as patched up some corner cracks and messy spots on the edge of the...

    3d printed replacement parts?

My wife bought the printer as a "I don't know what to get him, but he likes gadgets" gift one year. She fully expected me to play with it for a bit and see it collect dust for a few years. Surprisingly for her, I use it a fair bit. Not quite every day, sometimes not even once in a month, but...

    3d printed replacement parts?

The needle brush on my Aquabot X4 broke off one of the pins that retains the brush assembly, and rather than buy a new brush assembly for ~ $40 I figured what the heck - print one! It's a simple enough design, so a few minutes in Fusion 360 and just under an hour total on the printer. We'll...

Help: Pool deck causing moisture issues in house

Looking at the photo again, I'm curious why the joint doesn't extend through that top row of bricks. Looks like it cracked through the mortar one brick to the left? I'm no expert on how brickwork is done, but going by the three houses I've owned in the area over the past 20-something years...

Help: Pool deck causing moisture issues in house

If it's filled with mortar I'd question why. The joint should be filled with a foam backer rod and sealed with polyurethane or silicone caulk to allow normal movement with thermal expansion. It might mean there was enough movement to pull the caulk away. It does look like the top is opening...

Help: Pool deck causing moisture issues in house

I had to pier my house in Katy, and they found piers the previous owner installed while doing the job. My house in Cypress started showing signs after 10 years, brought out an engineer and they said it was still within limits. So far my house in Spring is doing fine, but you know the drill...

Help: Pool deck causing moisture issues in house

I'm reasonably confident those channel drains will resolve the issue. Houston is a bit different than many parts of the country. Typical homes are built using post-tensioned slab-on-grade construction. We have no basements, or any portion of the home sub-grade (with very few exceptions). Most...
