    Chuck the Circupool rj60?

I’ve had nothing but problems with my Circupool RJ60. A couple of times a got it to work for a few months then it stops. As I type this it is not operating yet again. It is so bad and fails so often that I’ve had to use liquid chlorine for the past year. I’m beyond fed up with this garbage...

    Great customer service

I have a Dolphin S300 robot that has served me well for 2 years and 10months. Ten months out of warranty. Last week it stopped moving. I called Maytronics and got a person in less than a minute. He walked me through some self checks and determined the robot didn’t recognize its environment. It...

    At a loss, no chlorine

My cya was very low so I spent the last couple of days raising it. I dumped in a jug of pool store chlorine a couple of days ago and my FC is still high at 12. I suppose that means the SWCG is working? Looks like cya needs to be higher. My readings today are: fc 12 cc 0 ph 7.6 cya 50 ch590 ta...

    At a loss, no chlorine

I have my pool/generator running 24/7. my generator is set at 100%. My salt is 3600. My pool temp is 80. I cleaned the cell per manufacturer instructIons. Looking at the cell I can see the cloudy look of the water as if the generator is working. Still, when I test, using 2 different Sets of...

    CIRCUPOOL WARRANTY ISSUES

Power of the forum? Power of calling them twice a day several days this week? I finally received the parts needed to fix my down unit but it shouldn’t have taken upwards of 20 phone calls and 2 1/2 months to get this unit back up and running. I will still withhold my recommendation of this brand...

    CIRCUPOOL WARRANTY ISSUES

I bought the Circupool RJ60+. It worked well for all of 2 months. It died back in December and I posted about a cell not match issue here - Circupool RJ65+ “cell not match” I was hoping to post on that thread a positive outcome but alas that has avoided me. My unit is still down and has been...

    Circupool RJ65+ “cell not match”

The system is several months old. I’ve had no issues with it until today. I did turn power off and on. I did disconnect the cell and reconnected it. Inspected the unit andwiring to make sure my dog didn’t chew anything. Everything looks normal.

    Circupool RJ65+ “cell not match”

I have a Circupool RJ60+ unit that is not working and menu screen is locked up. Screen display says “cell not match”. Checked the salt and It is at 3200. Water temp is 65. The manual doesn’t say anything about this nor does their web site. Any ideas what is going on?

I wouldn't drain the pool just to put 2 screws in. Get someone to dive the deep end to secure your cover.

IntelliFlo vs or SuperFlo vs for my indo pool

Like to poster above said if you are running automation then an Intelliflo might be the way to go. You will never run it at max rpm. I don't have automation and I run a Superflow VS. I also have 1 1/2 inch pipes. The 1 1/2 hp Superflo is more pump than you need. With the restriction 1 1/2 inch...

Do other people have trouble reading the pH?

I put a white piece of card stock behind the tester. It makes it eaiser to read but looking at your picture I'd say your pH is too high. My Taylor tester always matches unless the pH is too high.

Importance of a pool builder if they contract out all work.

I found in my case the difference in cost to have a pool company oversee my remodel project vs acting as my own GC was almost the same. The plaster, paver, tile people will charge a homeowner more for the job than they will charge a pool company they have a working relationship with. Also, when...

    Correct way for CA additions?

To add calcium carbonate I fill a 5 gallon bucket with pool water and add the desired amount and stir. It heats up quickly but the CC desolves in seconds. I pour into the deep end. EZPZ

    Recommendation for new pump

What size is your plumbing? I run a 1 1/2 hp Pentair SureFlo VS pump that is more than enough for my pool's 1 1/2 inch pipes. If you aren't automated a Pentair SureFlo VS pump may be the way to go. An example of sizing your pump to your pipes. Something that isn't duscussed much here: The pump...

Told brushing is a waste of time

Did they acid wash your plaster before the pool was filled? They acid washed mine and as I brushed I saw very little plaster dust. I brushed once a day anyway for a couple weeks. At a minimum it keeps the dirt suspended so it can be filtered out. Now I brush at least once a week.

Need recommendation for new filter and vac pump on 15 year old pool

I switched from DE to a large capacity cartridge filter. My water is crystal clear enough that I can tell what type scews were used on my 8' deep main drain. Much happier and will never go back to DE.
