"Concrete lifting" - good idea or not?

Look into the foam lift option. They inject badically spray foam to lift the slab and fill the gaps. I have had both done in commercial applications and the foam seems to work better.

    Losing prime over night

I would have to have two bad check valves since I have the flowvis on the outlet of the pump and befor the filter and a jandy check valve after the filter. skimmer----->pump------>flowvis------>filter----->check valve--------three way solar valve----->SWCG------------->Pool The solar leaves...

Deck jet and water feature questions

The jets were very low cost here too. I really wanted laminar but for 800 they put in the 4 jets with the 3way automatic valve. Hit the button on the phone, pump ramps up and jets start. Its a cool ow cost novelty

Deck jet and water feature questions

I have 4 of them on our pool with a three way valve on the return that either diverts the water to the stairs or to the deck jets. Wife hates the noise but the 3 year old loves them. I enjoy them since the neighbor dogs bark non stop. They drown out the dogs :)

    Losing prime over night

Re: Losing prime over night Thats correct. I have isolation valves after the pentair solar 3 way and on the return back from the solar. Every night the past 2 weeks i go out at about 8pm after the pump has shut down and im sure the solar has drained down and close the isolation valves and...

    Losing prime over night

Re: Losing prime over night Thats what im trying to get my head around. How is an air leak on the solar side getting past two check valves? Technically the solar system is always going to have an air leak since during drain down it fills with air via the vacuum breaker

    Losing prime over night

Hope someone can point me in the right direction cause this is driving me crazy. A few weeks ago i started loosing prime overnight when the pump is off. I have isolated the problem to the solar system by shutting down the service valves going to the roof at night. I dont understand how this is...

close off main drain to replace diverter valve when gravity is working against us.

Can you rebuild it? Going to get blasted pretty good with water but a 5 minute rebuild shouldnt drain the pool. Matt the drain to reduce flow bedt you can and rebuild

    Slippery liner

Been a long day..anyway ran the OCLT yesterday / thismorning and had a loss of 1. Spent an hour brushing / vacuuming and the floor feels great. Seems were on the way.

    Slippery liner

I brush at every use and if were not using it, at leadt evry 3 days. 2 walks around the pool, sides first then slopes followed by bottom. Typically turn off skimmer and run all floor drain while doing this

    Slippery liner

Hi all. I am trying to figure out my slippery liner issue. My present readings are: FC 6 CC 0 PH 7.4 TA 100 CH 125 CYA 80 If i follow the slam guide it calls for bringing tbe FC to 31. Is that required to fix the slippery bottom or is that just to kill off a green pool? Water is ckear, can see...

Check Valve Question - Part 2 - Contractor Can't Figure This Out

Stupid question. Has he confirmed all the valve labels are accurate? And another question. The union on the 2" to the spa has a "this side up" sticker. Can you identify what is there and if for some reason the check valve on the other spa line as the same sticker. Is it possible he used ball...

Check Valve Question - Part 2 - Contractor Can't Figure This Out

Check valve on the heater keeps the SWCG from backing up into the heater.

Check Valve Question - Part 2 - Contractor Can't Figure This Out

I only see one check valve in the picture on the first blue valve. Where did he claim the other is? I live in an area that freezes so having the blue valves makes blowing out the lines one at a time easier.

    Which solar controller to use?

I have the same pump and solar. You will need the interface cable to trigger one of the pump speeds when on solar.

Is this one of those rubber couplings sold to repair a drain line? Those are really not nade for pressure connections. Pictures would help.

    My Equipment

I love all my pentair products and would never give them up by why the split? It seems your PB prefers Hayward electronics so ask for a Hayward pump that has "smart" interface to the fancy pool management system. http://www.poolsuppliessuperstore.com/Pdfs/5632-brochure.pdf Please do some...

    Side mounted valve

I am getting ready to plumb my solar panels and received my Pentair Solar valve yesterday. While looking at the layout, I found that I could reduce qty of 90s by two if I turned the actuator on it side so the inlet port is pointing up towards the filter outlet. Has anyone mounted valves with...

    No mans Land

Another thing that could be at play here is voltage drop. We don't know the distance of the circuit but if it is not the GFI, and trips after some time, there is a potential for voltage drop increasing amperage draw. Just another thing to throw against the wall

    Solar plumbing question

Funny thing is that it is cheaper to buy a solar touch and just keep the spare parts.
