Slippery liner

Hi all.
I am trying to figure out my slippery liner issue. My present readings are:

FC 6
CC 0
PH 7.4
TA 100
CH 125
CYA 80

If i follow the slam guide it calls for bringing tbe FC to 31. Is that required to fix the slippery bottom or is that just to kill off a green pool? Water is ckear, can see main drain screw heads.

Water temp is 90

Yep. If you don't get in there and kill it all quick, it won't be long before your clear water turns murky or green. The more diligent you are about brushing and maintaining the FC level, the faster it will pass the three tests and the sooner you can let the levels go back to normal.

FC is up there. Had to order some spare test solutions from TF since im going to be using a bunch this week! Added 10% and brushed twice. Time to sit and wait. Will vacuum tonight when i get back

I'm not following the logic... FC at 6 and CC at 0. Why is SLAMing necessarily the answer to for a slippery liner? Are you showing any signs of algae jasong? Is it a saltwater pool?

I found that after adding borates and salt to my pool that the liner is slippery also (especially the slope from shallow to deep ends)... it's been this way since Easter.

Not showing any green. When i get in and stir it up, slippery goes away.

No I haven't... guess it's time to start!

I brush at every use and if were not using it, at leadt evry 3 days. 2 walks around the pool, sides first then slopes followed by bottom. Typically turn off skimmer and run all floor drain while doing this

If you are unsure, turn off the SWG and perform an Pool School - Perform the Overnight FC Loss Test (OCLT)

Been a long day..anyway ran the OCLT yesterday / thismorning and had a loss of 1. Spent an hour brushing / vacuuming and the floor feels great. Seems were on the way.
