I got matching liner pieces from the liner manufacturer and layered patches on the area and they are holding great. Now I see that I need a new butterfly gasket for the skimmer flaceplate. Existing one is cracked and brittle. One step at a time.

You are correct. There is only about 24" of water in the pool. I'm so disappointed that I didn't get the best information before I cut the holes. Planning to patch it today after I empty some water. Thanks for your response.

Definitely seeing slow progress. pH is up again today. I will keep brushing, flushing and testing until it’s clear!

Just realized I am using new R0870 but last year’s R0871. Used the new r0871 this morning. Was I getting inaccurate FC reading with old R0871?

FC dropped to 7.5 overnight. I will lower pH and continue manual cleaning, brushing then Slam again at lower pH.

FC has been holding pretty well. Last night at dusk is was at 20. 7:30 am it was at 16. Throughout the day today it only dropped to 18. It is a bit clearer now as I can sew the brush a bit farther into the water. Here’s hoping for tomorrow.

Well what I read was accurate. The old switch component easily popped out and the new one inserted without challenge. I reset the power, reset the GFI and it works perfectly. Hoping the water clears quickly now. ?

First it was the pump basket cover stuck and now it’s the ring the closes the canister over the cartridge. To unscrew (open) it usually takes about 2 1/2 rotations. It is stuck at about 1 rotation. Help! I need to flush the cartridge!e

Hi, prior to starting our Hayward pump I removed, cleaned and lubed the o ring of the basket on the pump. The filter has been running 2 days and I can’t remove the clear cover over the basket. It won’t budge! Ideas? Leaves collecting in this basket are reducing water pressure.
