    IC 40 leak

Now that you mention I think I'm just cleaning the cell like an idiot every few months even if there's no scale just because I read somewhere it was recommended so I made it part of my pool maintenance schedule.

    IC 40 leak

Yeah I used tons of pool lube this time to no avail. I take the cell off every few months to clean it... is there a different way of doing this without taking it off? I would love to hear any tricks because honestly this is the part of pool maintenance that I hate the most because of how...

    IC 40 leak

Do you guys have any tips to stops leaks at the union after cleaning the Intellichlor unit. I always get a leak on the same end and it takes me five or six tries of dissembling and reassembling until I get it right but this time I've spent nearly 3 hours and can't get it to fit properly. I...

    Booster pump leaking

Ok guys I got the hose kit and installed it. It wasn't too bad of a project but I realized my primer/cement game is really bad. I was going to tackle that second pipe but I'm not sure the end that goes to the pump is threaded... it looks like it's completely glued to the pump so I'm thinking...

    Booster pump leaking

Yep lots of stress at that point. As soon as I cut and tried to unscrew the joint it came down clean as if it was cut... Removing that it's going to be fun without messing up the threads.

    Booster pump leaking

Ok I think I'm with you @Lake Placid but just to be 100% clear cut at the red line or at the blue? I'm not professional (obviously lol) so behind the 90 to me is the red line...

    Booster pump leaking

Thanks, I was thinking something similar (replacing the fitting up to the elbow) the problem is that I tried but it won't budge at all. Is that fitting supposed to unscrew from the outlet? Here is the other picture with a complete view of the fittings...

    Booster pump leaking

Booster pump is leaking in the highlighted area. It looks like it should be an easy fix. I would call someone but this month we had run into several unexpected situations and my bank account is dry. I kind of handy with tools I just need to know what the approach to fix this would be.

    WhisperFlo replacement with IntelliFlo VSF

Hi there... I'm thinking in replacing my current WhisperFlo with an Intelliflo VSF and I have a couple of questions... My current equipment is Whisperflo, booster pump for the cleaner and another pump for the water features. The pool is about 12,000 gallons. Will the Intelliflo be enough to...

Pool & Spa lights not working

Thank you guys... J you were correct, there was a GFCI outlet on the side that I had never seen before :) What's the most common reason for it to pop?

Pool & Spa lights not working

Hi there guys... So the two lights in my pool and the one in my spa stopped working. Initially I thought it was the light bulbs since I seem to be having to replace them once a year. After I replaced the three of them they won't turn on. I checked the breaker but none of them are tripped...

    Pentair pool light clamp

That's a good system. I'll try it next time I have to replace the bulb. Thanks!!!

    Pentair pool light clamp

Yes I ended up using channel locks. The problem is that the clamp tabs are too short so if you attach the channel lock then there's no room to squeeze the bolt. What I did is holding them close enough with the channel lock and zip tie the tabs together, then release the lock, thread the bolt and...

    Pentair pool light clamp

Hi there... Any advice or tricks on how to hold the two tabs together close enough for the bolt? that bolt is surely too short... or am I not strong enough?

    Pump Pressure

Hi again guys, So recently I replaced the pump relay (I'm only mentioning this because I want to make sure it's not a confirmation bias) and I noticed that the return jets are moving way more water than before. I mean now I can see ripples on the surface of the pool produced by the jets. Even...

What's the right part for CCP420?

My CCP420 it's leaking through the cap plug at the bottom. It may be just the O-ring but for $20 I might as well replace the entire cap. I see online that there are two part numbers for the same cap: this one and this one Do you guys know what the difference is? Mine looks like the second one...

Very weird Easy Touch Control issue

Hi there. My easy touch control suddenly stopped working. It communicates with the panel fine but the only buttons that work are up, down, and menu. Everything else (left, right, and the 8 aux) don’t work at all. I replaced the batteries and turned the panel off for a couple minutes to no...

Pump turns off and on intermittently

Jim you're right. I failed to mention that this behavior only occurs during the time the pump is supposed to be running. After the schedule is complete at the end of the day the pump remains off (thankfully otherwise I'd be really worried). But it is during normal operation that it shuts down...

Pump turns off and on intermittently

This is driving me crazy and costing me a lot of money... So my pool pump turns off and on several times during the day. It's a very strange behavior: It starts normally, after a while it shuts down and a just few seconds later (no more than 20 seconds) starts right back. It does it multiple...

    Drain pool through hose bib

Thanks Suz. I was a little worried last night that letting water run out of that hose bib will cause some equipment damage. I was reading last night and some posts were talking about turning valves to waste and other things but since my filter is cartridge I don't have any of those. After...
