    Question about phosphates

My TA and pH seems to be running high the last couple weeks (I'll add the most recent test in a minute), I've been following Pool Math recommendations on muriatic acid. Today the salt cell said to inspect it so we did, we clean it monthly, along with cleaning the pool filter bi-weekly. We took...

    Quick chemical check after Nicole

Hi. I’m posting a pic from PoolMath on today’s tests. We got slammed in Brevard by Nicole and I think these numbers are good but just double checking.

    Just a chem check plz

CH is still okay with the CSI where it’s at, along with pH? pH just seems to stay around 7.8-8.2 even following poolmath addition of muratic acid.

Can we talk about Calcium Hardness?

Pool Math results yesterday (swg): FC 7; pH 8; TA 66; CH 250; CYA 60; CSI 0.02; Salt 3400...... Pool Math advises to add Calcium Chloride at 4lbs 10oz, by weight, or 74oz. Idk what calcium chloride is, I can look it up. Does this sound right? Pool Math Recommended says 250-650, Ideal 350-650...

    Calcium Hardness 2 part question...

Hi. We've had a lot of sudden rain the last few days, after a summer of almost no rain (which is unheard of here in FL in the summer) and while all my other chemicals are balance (thanks TFP and the TFP test kit!)- my calcium hardness went from 350 to 300 over a week. I don't know if it's...

    Where is the return?

Hi. We have 4 jets toward one end of our pool, none of them have water coming out of them. Water has never come out of them. The original owners said the pool vacuum's itself because there's a big drain in the floor, with 5 jets that pop up and push water toward that drain. Not exactly what I'd...

Saving Pool School articles and such

Is there a way to save any of the articles found in pool school…or the gigantic rabbit hole I leap down every time I read any of them? I usually email them to myself but is there a way to save the to my TFP profile? Also- off topic of that- is TFP on the TapATalk app? I haven’t found it but I...

    Measuring pool volume

I’ve recently realized the two local pool stores by our house have two different volume amounts for our pool (they’re listed under the former owners so we’re still trying to work out getting to know our pool). One store has it listed at 11,000 and the other is 19,800; that’s quite a drastic...

    Phosphates

4weeks ago our pool service said we had zero chlorine, which he then said had been going on for 4 weeks prior to even that, so he dumped a gallon of chlorine in, said he didn't know what the problem was, told us to get our salt cell checked and moved on. We took the water to get tested, and...

    Hi from Viera

Hi! We moved here a couple years ago, and had a service for our salt pool. My husband retired and due to some circumstances we've decided to care for the pool ourselves. I hope we find help here and we can pull this off! :)
