Gunite spa bench sounds hollow and has very rough looking surface

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your tile! Do not grout it. They can and should use the plaster instead. That is what will look the best in the end. Hollow sound-Ask the PB to come out and listen with you. Ask him to drill a hole into it to prove it is not hollow. Let us know what you find. Roughness and...

    Above ground vacuum

I see you have a good pump so you should be able to get a good amount of suction going. I had a Wanda the Whale and loved her! She did a good job.

Quartzscape vs Stonescape Micro vs Colorscape

I will tell you the plaster samples in the show room are not a true test of how it would feel in the pool. The samples have been touched and rubbed many, many times over the years by people just like you. If you want the "softest and most comfortable plaster" then go with plain plaster without...

Pool unused for many years - fix or remove?

I am in to watch and support. How close to the house is the this pool? If it is close I would rent or get a pump so you can control where the water is going. Don't want to risk a cascade of water towards your house.

    What Could Have Caused This?

That is concerning. Please back up and take a pic so we can see the whole area around that post. Is there anything in those "posts"? They look like cardboard tubes.

Looked at a house with an abandoned pool

I agree the first thing to do would be to pressure test the plumbing lines. That will be good information to have while you explore fixing that pretty pool up to make that back yard up!

Initial Pentair pump settings for our pool with spa, infinity edge, waterfall, and cleaner...and understanding labels in ScreenLogic app.

Here at TFP we have "tested" many pool stores over time. What we found is that most, not all, pool stores tests are off/wrong. The reasons are many from not calibrating their test machine to not cleaning or rinsing out the test tubes between tests. As such we suggest using your own test kit...

    Fiberglass unlevel

Hi and welcome to TFP. Sure sounds like your build has been anything but trouble free :( I am not understanding how they re-leveled it. Did they take the pool back out or??? When you say "stock gray shell" it makes me think it is a fiberglass pool. Some pics would be

    Pool design…where to start?

Hi and welcome to TFP! First off I will say just about anything can happen with a big enough wallet! It will need to be a fat wallet to get a pool like the one in your link. It is a very pretty pool AND it is a very unique pool. It will take a lot of specialized skills to build. For that you...

Suggestions and comments on design please

I agree with the long bench on the side. Instead you can put a "corner" seat for people to hang out on and to use as a step out. I would not give up so much pool for the big shelf. You can sun on the area outside the pool when you want to. You can also just sit on the side of the pool and hang...
