Soo we started building our pool in May. We were told 4-6 weeks turn around. N throughout the entire project is was nothing but issues. We designed a pool in office & after we got home & got the funding together we decided to go with a smaller pool for a better budget. We got a quote from another company & they were going to do everything we wanted with coping. I asked the original company for our deposit back & all the sudden they came up with a quote exactly the same without coping & they could start asap if i went with the in stock grey shell I didn’t want, I wanted ice blue but I agreed so I didn’t have to wait 6 weeks to get made. They alsoTold me everything was the same just a smaller pool. Well as the project went on, it wasn’t exactly the same. Firebowls were different, concrete not bronze & not automation, they forgot to say water line tile wasn’t included I was expecting , They were for forgetting extra features I paid for like bubblers & ended up installing them incorrectly from the rendering, tried to ‘forget’ to tell the Gas plumber to plumb in the lines for the bowls I had to tell him, then when the concrete came to be poured the concrete guy said he was positive they didn’t have my firebowls even ordered. Well I messaged & asked if they did, n he said yes they will be here month but then said ‘ill make the firebowl columns bigger if you wait a bit on the firebowls & I’ll get you swim ready asap’ because my family had come to town for the 4th of July because I was expecting it to be finished by then, since it was a early-mid June timeline. Well I agreed. Then, i made the owner come out to show him, they used grey color stamping powder for desert dark tan concrete so it made it whitish, the cantilever line was absolutely horrible, Nothing met up, huge gaps it was a kids hand waiting to get split open. The pool was suppose to match our house, instead of stone columns they used jail house brick then to top it off, the pool was so unlevel the skimmer would never function properly. When the water was touching tile at the shallow end, the entire skimmer was covered with water. They told me they could just lift the concrete & relevel it & asked if we wanted them to do it now or give me some time to enjoy the pool. So I said we can do it in a month when you guys are slower & can knock it our quickly while we gotta town for the month, granite our entire yard is desert sand/dirt. We live in the desert & I wanted a deserty oasis, but the sand of the Wild West was constantly blowing in the pool because we couldn’t landscape the yard til they were complete so we couldn’t even swim that often because the sand would be so thick in the pool
Within a day & our skimmer suction wasn’t working properly for us to vaccum, they said they ‘put a valve in’ I haven’t been able to test it yet. Okay so they were suppose to do it while we were outta town. They ended up having to tear up all the concrete & releveling. It’s taken over 2 months now & they still aren’t finished they said they have 15 other pools going on & you’d think I’d be the priority since I’m a redo! They used liquid stamping release this time so the ‘shadow look’ wasn’t exaggerated when I loved that part, I just told them to use a darker stamping powder so it didn’t turn the tan concrete a white-grey color& it stayed dark desert tan but once again they just do their own thing. They also tried to change the entire layout of the concrete & I had to make them change it before the truck came instead of following the rendering I approved, so whatever concrete isnt the worst, wish was more shadowy, cantilever looks okay, but the hottub is alien shaped again & the skimmer looks higher than the shallow end now & looks like the maybe the spa is twisted & the right side of the shallow end is unleveled now too. Like what do I do??? They already made me feel horrible, I’ve severely pregnant, hormonal & just don’t even want the pool at this point. All payment have been made since they ‘had’ to request final payment during decking. I’m so over stressing about this & don’t know if I’m being dramatic. Pictures attached, the water line tile definitely makes it stand out more & no one told me the grout used for the waterline tile would stay kinda sticky & trap dirt n stay forever dirty. But UGHHHHH.
I’m trying to upload images but it keeps saying it’s too big??
