Pre pool opening (white water mold)

I'd leave it open around the clock. For the time during the day the pool is cooler than the air, the sun will warm the pool with or without the cover. IMO the debatable difference between the 2 isn't worth the worrying about it. For the bulk of the 24 hour period, you'll be losing heat. Keeping it running will make more surface area for evaporation to occur with all the ^^^^^^^^^^ ripples.

As said above the deck jets will come in handy for once overnight. :) They'll raise the Ph though so keep an eye on that.

I ran an experiment with it today

For what it’s worth -“

At 7 am water temp was 83 (had been open all night)

Closed it at 7
Water temp at 1:30 pm 84 outside temp 89 full sun

Maybe - just maybe we got this thing licked !!
Added final treatment dose of ahhsome a few days ago and barely getting any gunk. Fc is holding decent

Cya has fallen to 30. I’ve been raising to 8 (because of adding ahhsome and super sunny hot hot hot here)

Another few days and I’ll add stabilizer

Lmao …. I’ve got to just quit saying things are going good

Left the pool open overnight (to keep water cooler) thinking it wasnt going to rain until morning

Long and short of it we had a bad storm that took half of our only tree down.
this pic might not look like much but I vacuumed for three hours today

Checking in

We are about 4 weeks from closing
Just curious if anything is too far off and needs corrected before then

Cya 30
Fc 5 (I’ve been taking it up to 7 and it falls to 5)
Ph 7.8
Ta 125
Calcium hardness 250

Is there a link to ideal closing ranges of things ?

Thanks

Nope. Lookin good (y)

They're regular levels except FC. The choices are :

1) full slam
2) half slam + PQ

Pass an OCLT to know you're putting it to bed algae free, raise the FC the day of closing (and PQ for those who do) and call it a season.

I’m one week from close, levels have been holding steady .

first time I’ve ever been “in a good place” (not fighting something)

Do I start SLAM today?

I haven’t technically done oclt yet.

However , I have not lost any fc in 2 days . I’m losing maybe .5 ppm every 4 days now , when I test at regular time (4-5 pm).
Pool remains closed all day other than 20 min for testing, skimming and running bubbler/ fou-tains

Not quite time for me to sign off for the winter, but close . Want to make sure I get in a HUGE thank you to all who have helped me this year !

I think maybe (JUST MAYBE) I finally have myself a tfp! Wooooo! 🎉

Did you put a cover on it? If so let it ride. If not you can run the cleaner if needed. You can add chlorine if it is testing low so long as you brush it VERY well. You could also run around the pool with a paddle or big broom to make a whirlpool then add chlorine.

What is the water temp?

Hey there !

I keep getting an email that my intelliconnect is offline . The pool has been closed since October . Should the power or breaker be shut off or something?

Thanks
