New build Pool balance

As in, soaking a CYA/sock of sorts, *in* the skimmer ? It's fine so long as the pump runs throughout. Most of the goods will be there to squeeze out later in the pool and the little bit that dissolves will be diluted.

But be mindful that it's acid. We've seen some nasty skimmer or plumbing damage when left to soak with no water flow. It really doesn't take much effort to hang it in the pool instead

Use a skimmer sock and hang it by the return line.

9 bags is a great start. Let that mix for a full day and then test to see where you ended up.

Superchlorinate is for FC top offs before/after parties and such. It's literally a party trick that won't be used often and seems way cooler than it is.

I have very little FC and fired up the SWG for the 1st time 5 mins ago. I don’t have any LC can I throw in a 1Lb bag of shock tonight?

That powdered chlorine has copper in it. Use at your own risk

That sounds like a no. I think my pool will survive overnight with no chlorine, Another question what is the best schedule I should run for SWG and should I run the pump at the same time? I have the SWG running only right now at 100%

You have to run the pump and SWG at the same time. Your SWG has a flow switch that won't allow it to run without flow.

You should add supplemental chlorine from another source, preferably liquid, ASAP. Don't put copper in your pool.

As long as that is the only powdered chlorine of that type you have added, no big deal, use it up. Just wanted you to understand that products with copper in them are not a good thing. It is also dichlor, so will add CYA. Yours is low for a SWCG so no issue there.
