New build Pool balance

Does anyone use Skim-A-Around? If so do you recommend one?
I don't think it works any better than a functioning skimmer w/weir door. Neighbor had one and he thinks the skimmer works better without it. Also, use hairnets in the skimmer basket.

I updated the pool math with yesterday's results also is the temperature on my Hayward app accurate? It's reading 72.
Great!

The temp you are getting from the system is probably a few degrees off - even when the pump is on - as even a 2" pipe will show a temperature rise in the internal fluid if the sun is beating on it or the air temp is higher than the water temp. I use a <$10 pool thermometer to get a more realistic temp of the entire pool.

What the comparator tells you is that you have chlorine in the water, and your pH is in the upper range.
If you want to know what the FC is, use the FAS-DPD test. Enter all test results into Poolmath. Is a great help for the future if you have an issue or even to see what you were adding etc in the years to come.

I entered the results looks like I need to add a little acid and stabilizer. What type of stabilizer would I purchase?

Poolmath shows you add liquid stabilizer. That is OK, you need to use the entire bottle each time you add as it separates and must be repeatedly rinsed to get the product out. Best is to use granular stabilizer/CYA and the sock method. See CYA - Further Reading

Muriatic acid and Stabilizer are two different products correct?

You can add what you need at any time. Pump running, pencil sized stream of product at a return. Brush the area after if you wish.

thoughts on adding a stabilizer to the skimmer?
As in, soaking a CYA/sock of sorts, *in* the skimmer ? It's fine so long as the pump runs throughout. Most of the goods will be there to squeeze out later in the pool and the little bit that dissolves will be diluted.

But be mindful that it's acid. We've seen some nasty skimmer or plumbing damage when left to soak with no water flow. It really doesn't take much effort to hang it in the pool instead.
