Hi, I currently have a Hayward On Command system connected to a Hayward VSP, and Hayward pool, and 2 lights. Looking to upgrade to a Hayward OMNI PL system for the web app convenience. Our remote died in the fall and I can’t justify paying $500 more for this system. Does anybody know if the Omni PL retrofit kit will fit in the on command housing unit? If anyone has experience with the Omni PL systems please share. Thanks!

It appears that the PCB is about 9.25" wide and 6" tall. The "stand-offs" would have to match as well. The web site says it is combatable with the P-4, PS-4,, and PS-8 only.

Thanks 1poolman…I had a feeling it wasn’t a direct fit. I’m thinking it might have to a new system.
Do you have a SWG? There really isn't anything magical about the OmniPL upgrade from a P-4, PS-4, etc. Mostly just a board swap. Might be worth a call to Hayward direct or a local Hayward sales rep.

During the install there were indications that it is potentially compatible just that you have to adjust some wiring (there was a sticker on the wiring block refering to alternate instructions for On-Command/E-Command). Also, you may need to purchase a newer power transformer.
