Make sure the engineer overseeing the construction pays attention to details. You don’t want to have something like this happening to your pool/house:
The rebar frame inside the concrete was not properly tied together in that pool causing the structural failure.

After a ton of reading on acrylic panels, including watching videos like this (
), acrylic is no longer an option for the pool build.

For the pool itself: I spent a day with Diamond Pool and Spa out of Colorado. They build and install custom stainless pools. Definitely worth a look as this is their kind of project.

No update at the moment. There is continual inspection and iterative repair of cold joints to make sure the final structural phase can begin on a sound a structure as possible.
I know this is an old thread but I figured posting an update here would be more appropriate versus creating a new one. It has taken a bit longer to get the pool frame completed. The mainly reason is that the entire structure is made up of concrete, complicated by having an infinity pool on it apex and each stage takes time to cure. The structure (frame) for house plus the pool has now been completed.

Wow looks great. Did you get any idea of when they might complete the whole thing?
The tentative schedule is next summer. The next phase is to test the pool for leakage and to complete the block work for the building.

Has the pool been plastered?
Are they going to fill the pool with water to see if it leaks?
Are they pressure testing the plumbing as well?
For an infinity pool, the infinity edge is usually facing towards the most open area to give the best effect, but it looks like it’s facing the hill?
That seems backwards to me.
I'm a bit worried about the whole structure let alone which direction infinity faces. I can tell what part of the world that's in just by the build.
