Hello everyone, I'm new to TFP, I've been reading some posts but could not solve a current problem I have with my pool. I have a Aqualink RS intalled with PDA (PS4 both on version 3.0) . Thanks to the quarantine I've been looking into the PDA and wanted to make some programs. Apparently filter pump is always on! The oly way to turn it off is to shut the braker and shut down the whole system. I've already changed the relays and they work fine when connected to a AUX port. Also I've been reading and it could be a antifreezing mode, but the air temperature displayed on the PDA is 86°F (30°C) and pool temperature is already at 106°F (40°C) since I have solar heater installed and there is no way to shut it down without shutting the filter pump off. Thank you for your help! (sorry for bad English)

Welcome to TFP.

Sounds like something is stuck in your board. I would try calling Jandy Support although Jandy has made it difficult for DIY support.

@PoolGate thoughts?

Can you post your system of the below screen? If your system is an RS system the programming is done via the web or phone interface, not the PDA. If your programming is done via the PDA then you have a PDA system and not an RS system.

Your system should have 2 temps displayed, what are those temps?

I don't have solar but perhaps there is something with the solar to prevent the panels from getting too hot?

It would help us if you would fill in your signature line with your pool details. -> https://www.troublefreepool.com/account/signature

Oh! OK, thank you for the correction, yeah you're right, then I have a PDA system. Maybe it's a protection but it's not serving its purpose since I'm manually shutting the breaker so the electricity isn't too high, the pool isn't too hot, and I can sleep at night.

When you go to the 'Equipment on/off" what do you see? Also that button above "filter pump" on your panel will turn off your pump. Do you have a schedule set up? Do you just have a single antennae or 2? Pictures of your equipment pad showing everything would be great!

Here are some photos, breaker on, out of schedule (I have programmed it to work from 4 pm to 8 pm). I have 2 antennae. As you can see in the photos the PDA shows everything off, but filter pump is still on. Today I spoke to my pool technician and he told me that there is a solar sensor and everytime there's sunlight the sensor bypasses the programs... although that wouldn't explain why the filter pump is still on at night.

I am not sure how you can not use your solar array I don't know enough about them. I know the panels can't stay in the sun too long without using them because the water inside them gets too hot and is a scalding issue. What does your pool guy say? Can you totally disconnect the system and empty the water out? Is there a way to "winterize" it?

Yes, I think it has something to do with the panels' sensor. Today I checked it on my rooftop and it was set to 15° C (Honeywell Thermostat), so my logic tells me the thermostat overrules the program practically all day. today the max is 30°C and de min is 14°C so it's always over the threshold. I'm going to increment the thermostat temperature lower limit and watch the pool's activity tomorrow morning once the water isn't heated. I have no idea if I can winterize it nor have I ever tried to empty it.

OK, since I changed the limit on the thermostat the filter pump turns on and off according to it. Now the problem is that I cannot manually turn on the filter pump when I go to Service > Filter Pump for example to vacuum clean the pool.
