Nothing says MERICA! more than a man in a stars and stripes speedo with a flame thrower.

such a cool process! very cool. so when it's done how does it feel? like plaster, like fiberglass? kinda in-between?

It is hard to explain. It feels like smooth plaster but a bit softer... I'm really liking the way it feels. Brian and Dave really left the finish perfect. Smooth where you want it and a little more texture on the entry steps for traction.

Like what you think a really nice pebble sheen should feel like. Not slick like fiberglass...not plasticky like vinyl...they really captured the market on this one it's got a great feel to it - just what a pool should feel like. It's hard to explain but I'm excited that it'll always stay the same. AB is absolutely worth paying extra for

Awesome job on the pool finish. You guys definitely have the "Primo" pool surface. I'm really happy for you guys but, sadly, I'll never get the chance to answer any chemistry questions from you two [emoji22]Brian's slowly putting me out of business.

Oh well, time to polish up the 'ol resume an look for a new gig ....

We were able to fill it up right after in about 40 minutes.

Brian was great. He helped lay out the equipment so it wasn't a spaghetti mess and when we were pulling the lights and filling it up he snuck behind the block wall and started hooking it up. Mike was still up past midnight finishing up though. We still need to hook the gas up at the meter and install the light transformers for the pool to be fully functional

Filling from the fire hydrant??? (I can see the fire hose ;) )

Awesome. You guys are a lovely looking family and deserve a great swimming pool for all the hard work!

Enjoy swimming and the rest of the summer!!

So much fun to finish catching up! What a hoot!
You guys have a beautiful family and a wonderful build! Congratulations!! Seeing the joy on your faces is priceless and seeing the kids excitedly playing in the water is what it's all about! Thank you for taking us along by on your adventure!

Great work, Brian!! The finish is gorgeous (like the rest of the build!)- love it!! And love your patriotism, too ;)

Amidst all the hilarity - the crazy wild jokes, readers spewing drinks over monitors and screens, and tears from laughter.... it all really boils down to the pictures you just posted - your beautiful family and the kids splashing in the pool!

Really warms this old lady's heart and makes my eyes well-up!!

We got a meter for it from the water department [emoji1303]

That's really cool!! (Although a little midnight secret ops mission is a little more fun ;) ).

I wonder if my water utility would allow that [emoji848][emoji848] Way better than wait 30+ hours for my pool to fill from two hoses....[emoji97][emoji98][emoji305]

I'll have aerials when the water clears up (I guess our tap water isn't too pretty) just for you mama suz. I'm glad the kids will have plenty of hot weather left to enjoy it - while we finish it up

They had the application form online we found the form and had the meter in hand same day. Why do you need to re-fill your pool?
