Nope. The overhang is very small and its well above the waterline. It would be the same thing as waterproofing the cantilevered portion of coping. I would have happily done it if need be but I don't see it being an issue...and my guy already had it masked off before I thought of it

Don't worry, I put the mineral pack in the Nature 2 and threw an extra one in the pool sitting on the floor
