Will...there's a pool almost across the street from you that you are more than welcome to come look at, even at night, that might help you put your mind at ease..

I've tried to take some night pictures, but haven't got something I want to share yet.
On my pool, which overall (including sun deck and stairs) is about 48' long, has 4 lights. The sun deck has one light and is 8' long. So I've got three lights covering a width of about 40'. The first light from the stairs is about 8' away, and about 18" below the waterline. The pool is right at 12' across. The stairs are "lit' but shadowed, some light colors better than others (not unusual from what I have seen/read). I'm not at all unhappy with the main pool "look". If I had it to do all over again, I would actually add another light to the sun deck, because it's not as deep, and the one shallow light does not fully light it, and it gets no "help" from the others. (Or in a couple months, Hayward is supposed to have some smaller lights, and I'd have added 3 or 4 of those around the deck, and in the spa..LOL)
But, how the lights would look was one of my personal stress points during the whole build. If spending another $500 or so to put another one in would have let me have certainty that it was going to look awesome, even if it was a little overkill? I'd have spent it in a heartbeat. It will never be easier, or cheaper than right now to do that.
Also, dumb question...in post 2 of this thread, it showed another light in the pool, by the stairs, did you delete it?
And I'm serious...if you want to see mine lit up, even tonight...just let me know..you have my number. (I love to share it..
