I'm sure it will come up at some point again this year - as it did last year. Last year I did have the TF-100 out on their pool deck. But they aren't inclined to manage their own pool so I just go light. The two reasons their water ends up green are that they don't pump any accumulated water out, so it reaches the mesh cover, and then the water bakes in the late winter/early spring sun reaching well over 60 degrees on the top layer, and subject to sunlight. The second being that I'm sure they don't add any bleach in late winter. So any algaecide they put in when closing is no longer effective (or is too diluted) and no FC is added.
 
A few pics of our maturing pool lansdscape which is mostly perennials. Enjoyed a great afternoon yesterday snoozing on the float. To all of you in process...the rewards at the end are worth it!

False sunflower in front of coral and pink Drift roses. Shenandoah Switch Grass in the pots, which did overwinter in them. Achillea 'Coronation Gold' beyond the diving board behind Liriope 'Big Blue'.

Man oh Man!!! I could die there! Your gardening/landscaping vision and skills are truly amazing. Almost brings tears to my eyes. The gorgeous backdrop doesn't hurt either. You put me to shame..... Truly a paradise.

Thanks Suz! And of course everything has a cost. I spend much time maintaining it...but I do enjoy doing it.

Thanks Kim. And Ha! My DW says I can chop some wood...but that's a two-way logging road if you ask me.

That is absolutely beautiful! You have done a tremendous job on your landscaping and the pool.

What part of Maryland are you? I lived in Columbia for many years while working at Ft. Meade and other government locations. Beautiful country. Living in Texas, I miss the Crab Shanty in Ellicot City. LOL

Thank you. We are in Carroll County. Worked in Columbia for many years. Maybe I'll have some crabs for you this weekend and you can have a DK for me.

I just joined you over on your build to talk about shade.

Frankly the outdoor zone (like that terminology) still seems a little surreal and I hope that feeling never goes away. Yours is becoming awesome too!
 
Thanks all for the nice words. For next items up (because it's never really done now is it?) are two 10' wide Coolaroo roll-up shades to keep the late afternoon shade off the table and sitting area under the pavilion. Hot food that should be cold food is not safe food.
 
Just put my daughter on a plane back to BWI, so your Baltimore title caught my eye.

I've perused all 12 pages. Gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous! I love the pool, the stained concrete decking is amazing...the gazebo...the view. Love it all! What a amazing retreat in your own back yard.
