Will this handrail placement be functional?

Is this a good handrail placement? It looks like I might not be able to reach it when going up the bottom 3 steps. Any ideas for better placement?

Looks like people might have difficulty reaching the rail from the bottom of the pool. Can you get a longer rail?

I found this style made by saftron. Looks like it might work and look better. Thanks

But the above hand rail is in the water and the OP shows one on the deck only. There are some really nice artistic hand rails these days- Some Examples- If you took the one on the second row, far right, and put it on the side instead of the head of the pool it would cover all needs, IMO.

That's what we did.

Remember the person will be further down in the water so would not be able to reach the first rail. Saying that they can and will use the coping to hold and push from until they can reach the rail.

That curved one will fit all needs along with the coping.
