Leaving the cover off at night will really cool your pool a lot. Also leaving the cover off during the day when it is overcast, cool , and windy can cool the pool.n8henry said:70F. It's been cold here for July and I've been leaving the cover off. Brr.
You have been doing pretty well. It's been a tough stretch in the season to keep pool temps up here in the north. Highs have been in the 70s here (MN) for a few weeks now and even with my solar (70% solar/pool area) I have only been able to obtain 80F pool water. What is your solar/pool area? How much sun do you get directly on the pool? Are you covering at night?outdoor said:yesterday it was 80 by 5:30pm Sunday afternoon it was 71 brought it up Monday to 78, Tuesday morning it was 74 brought it up to 80.
All with Solar Panels. Was hoping to be able to bring it up more with Solar (new this year)
Ottawa, Ontario Canada Area
30' round 54" to 60" deep above ground with pool cover.
