What new heater for me?

Members report that the automatic bypass will not "bypass" the heater after the cooldown when the valve is plugged into the heater circuit board. Pentair has been notified of this problem.

Instead, those with an IntelliCenter have moved the bypass valve actuator wire to the IntelliCenter board and tied it into the heater circuit. It bypasses immediately when the IntelliCenter is no longer calling for heat.

Change Valve A to Heater or MasterTemp. It is assigned to Solar...

I found this note...

Note: Valves A & B and Solar Heating: For Single Body systems, Valve A is used for SOLAR if you choose the Solar Heater. For Dual Body systems, Valve B is used for SOLAR if you choose the Solar Heater.

It looks like you need to swap the actuators and make the heater bypass Valve B so that your Solar valve can be on Valve A.

Then set Valve B circuit to Heater or MasterTemp.

I was thinking of swapping, since valve is is grayed out and I cannot change Valve A from solar. Boy, do I have a lot to chat about with PB. I'm guessing I have only one body of water, even with one pool, and one spa.

Is it worth asking the PB to replumb the Heater Bypass Valve? It currenlty is set up on 0, and 7, and works fine. But if it gets set to 24, it blocks the pump flow in. And Pentair has a warning about setting up the valve and stopping the pump flow. Thanks

Plumbing does not need to be changed.

Unscrew the IntelliValve and rotate it 90 degrees so 12 and 24 are at the bypass and heater pipes. Change the settings from 0 and 7 to 12 and 19.

Do I need all three check valves? (see picture attached)
This flow from my filter on the left to up and back down from my solar, thenback to heater and pool.
Check Valve 1 on the bottom left is flow meter.
Check Valve 2 is on inlet to 3-way valve.
Check Valve 3 is the black blob on the solar return.

Do I need all these three check valves?

Thanks

Yes, they are all there for different purposes.

Label a picture with 1, 2, and 3 so we are on the same page.
Not sure I can easily label a picture. I tried to identify above.
Check Valve 1 on the bottom left is flow meter.
Check Valve 2 is on inlet to 3-way valve.
Check Valve 3 is the black blob on the solar return.

Check valve 1 is on the inlet to the filter. Check valve 2 is on the outlet of the filter, and up to solar control valve.
