What’s the strangest thing you have found in your skimmer?

Frogs almost daily. A snake a few times each season. First year we had the pool we had a daily snake visitor.

The day after a big pool party, I found a bikini top in my skimmer.

Just kidding. I did find a red Solo cup, though.

I just returned inside from pulling a mouse and a snake out. Both still alive. Gives me the heebie jeebies.

Found a baby bunny just before it got sucked in. When I went to grab it and it swam quickly away. I wasn't aware rabbits can swim, but this one swam quite well. Eventually I got it out and hopped off...

Other than that, mice, baby birds, frogs... gladly no snakes (yet).

After finding a dead baby squirrel i bought one

Got the FrogLog, so no frogs or other animals, but twice now we've been invaded by flying ants and both skimmer socks were full in one day. Maybe 250 large flying ants in each of two skimmer socks. They also rained into the pool while we were there.

Frogs, toads, spiders and lately my pool is being invaded by millipedes. I have a frog log but for some reason they still end up in the skimmer, just not as many.

So far I've found mostly big honkin' wasps or hornets, big black ants, little black ants, and flying ants in my skimmer. In my old in ground pool I'd find frogs and snakes on the regular.

Nothing beat the baby snapping turtles I'd find on the steps, though...

Not too far away, in downtown Phoenix, the only critter I've seen is a poor little waterlogged gecko. I'm guessing you're not in downtown Tuscon.

Nope, NW Georgia, where you might find a rattlesnake or moccasin in your skimmer, or snapping turtles in your actual pool.

Nothing too strange mostly the basic stuff. Unfortunately we did have a rabbit last year. Thankfully no snakes yet. I’m deathly afraid of them so I don’t know how I’d get one out. Probably just jinxed myself.

Get a skimmer angel for your skimmer baskets, then lift them out with your pool pole and dump the basket out on the grass. Stand back. I'm not afraid of snakes, but I certainly do respect the living daylights ou t of them!

Mice, voles, birds, snakes, opossum, rabbit, frogs, tons of different types of insects, large black wolf spiders.....several that have had their back side covered in babies...ugh!

We did manage to rescue a chipmunk

A cicada killer was the new to me bug. The one time I did not check it before swimming and asked hubs to because he got out first, he was rewarded with a snake. He should check it more often. ? He was so glad I had bought the Skimmer Angel!
