Vinyl kettle balls and pvc pipe

Looking for a quick solution to the leaking sand pool steps and something very easy to get in and out of pool. Thinking of two of these hanging on a pvc pipe on bottom step, what do you all think?

Are you wanting to use them to help hold the steps down? aka adding weight? They would work but you can also use bleach jugs filled with sand and attache them with bungee cords for easy on and off. Those kettles could work but the jugs are cheaper.

Yes, adding weight. I’m sick of sand! Nothing with sand! I do t mind the cost of weights if it works ???

Fill jugs with Portland cement

I have a full set of weights ziptied to my steps. Works great!

at least now they're being used for something! ?
