Hubby thought these would work. He had also put them on the skimmer and return pipes where they exit out of the pool wall.Electrical PVC isn't pressure rated
But it's lasted this long, so.![]()

Same thing - dry rot - happened on the others I've used. These were by accident but hoping maybe they'll last longer than the elastic ones. Thanks.I just got them myself. Takes a bit of practice to open them up. <sigh> I'll use 'em up and go for a different one next order. My previous order of a different type had the elastic dry rot or something while stored outside in the pool shed.

You will want to avoid the garden DE as well. Only pool DE.Is there a difference between pool DE and garden DE? I see food grade is a no no for pools.
Probably is. You shouldn't need to use much at all.seems like a lot.
Thanks! I'll check them out.I got 8 or 10 pound box from Ace Hardware a few years ago. I only use it by no more than a cup or so, so that box has lasted forever. They ordered it for me. It was HTH Brand.
So it's somewhere between the two and always rounds up. Use 40.I can barely see the dot at 40 but definitely not visible at 30, so not sure which to use.
It's fine as is.Do I bother raising the pH to 7.2 or 7.3? The bird poop will wreak havoc on this.
To use the actual level it is. Which is 40.Which is better: to use the CYA reading of 40 for the higher FC SLAM level or go with 30 and slightly lower FC SLAM level?
