My TA has been 60 for a few weeks. Pool math suggests adding baking soda to increase it. From what I have read in different posts in here, I can ignore that suggestion as long as it is within the recommended range (50-90) and just continue to focus on my PH which tested at 7.7 (recommended range = 7.2-8.0). Did I get that right?

Are you continuing to add drops until there's no further color change? Do you have a SpeedStir? TA of 50 or above is perfectly fine.

PoolMath is just a calculator. If you give it a target, it will tell you how to achieve it. Don't blindly follow its output.

I am adding until no further color change. No speedstir.

I didn’t enter the target. Didn’t want to follow its recommendation blindly hence why I asked the question.
