I am new to this site and was hoping someone could help me out. My son used the spa last night. Freeze protect came on during while he was in the spa. When he got out he was able to shut everything off (lights, spa heater) except the pump because of the freeze protection. Later this morning I noticed the spa heater came back on. Freeze protect turned off and for some reason the spa heater came back on. Does this sound like a familiar scenario to anyone?

I wonder if he switched back to pool mode, which likely turned off the heater, but when the freeze protection cycled between pool and spa the heater came on with spa mode?
I had that happen once, so now I make sure and switch the heater off in spa mode before I switch back to pool mode.

That makes sense. So does that mean the spa heater ran continuously all night long until I noticed it this morning or it was in a on/off situation throughout the night as freeze detection cycles through?
