PB plumbed in the spa blower right next to my gas heater.
I am concerned this is too close and can pull carbon monoxide into my spa.
Manuals state a 3’ clearance to a force air intake.
Is this a valid concern?

Thanks

YES.. A very valid concern.. you do not want it anywhere close to the gas heater to pull CO gas into the air being pumped into the hot tub in the water.. You do not want to poison yourself and fall asleep while in the hot tub... bad things could happen..

If it were me I would have them move it all the way across to the other side of the pad :)

Not the smartest thing to do.

I don’t think it is a big health or safety concern to spa users. Any CO picked up from the heater is mixed with air and mixed in water before it can get to people sitting outdoors.

I would be more concerned with the exhaust constantly blowing on the heater causing it to fail prematurely.

It should be easy enough to extend the blower air pipe and electrical and move the blower away from the heater exhaust.
