Soaking filter cartridge with TSP - how to dispose of TSP water afterward?

I'm gonna soak my cartridge with TSP today but wonder if it will stain my driveway or hurt grass/plants where I dump it. I'm guessing I just dump it and hose it down?

TSP will damage grass and plants. It won't "stain" concrete, but it will likely brighten any portion of the concrete that you will us it on...TSP is used to clean concrete.

I would find a drain to municipal water treatment and use that drain. I would not drain to anyplace that will lead to watershed waters.

It will stain an asphalt drive or street.

I was afraid of that. I found an old post that said it is safe to put down the drain, even with a septic tank. I'll be making a lot of trips to the sink before I can lift that container! LOL.

My next question - Should I soak it in chlorine after? Then dry it out?
