I've ordered a fiberglass therapy pool 8'x12'x4'6" to be indoors. Is UV light purification worthwhile and is a SWCG the way to go or just chlorine? Thanks in advance,

This sounds like a neat project. Also doing a pool for indoor aqua jogging for fitness and swimming. Have thought about this for the past years. We finally settled on a 12 x24 5’6” small pool with a Swg, 250,000 BTU gas heater, auto cover in a Garden prairie enclosure by CCSI. It will be separate from the house as we had concerns about humidity. Looking forward to seeing your updates and will share mine—our project is in the permitting phase.Ok, so after much reading I'm firm on buying a swcg and UV light for our new fiberglass pool that arrives end of April. It will be an indoor pool, inside a sunroom. The UV light is being provided by the SwimEx pool manufacturer, along with pump/cartridge filter combo and 11kw electric heater. The pool is a small plunge pool, flat bottom, for physical therapy, size is 8'x12'x4'6" deep with built in steps and a pair of custom railings. This calculates to be 3450 gallons. So far I have looked at the Saltron Mini swcg but it appears to be best suited for 2000 gallons. Most others I've seen are indicated for pools up to 10,000 gallons. My question is, if we get a swcg designed for up to 10,000 gallons and our pool is 3450 gallons will we generate too much chlorine or not convert sufficient salt? Are there any other swcg we should consider? SWCG is a higher initial expense, I understand so we want to get it right. Therapy is very important for me so once we get this up and running I'm hoping to keep it running with no down time. Thanks in advance for your help, advice and support!

Its 3240 gallons. How are you set up for ventilation in that room? That is going to be an important element lest the extra moisture cause mold.
Such a small pool might be able to use a Saltron Mini Salt Water Chlorine Generator for Spas I bet? Do you know how many gallons the therapy pool will be?

Any thoughts on ventilation would help. Room 320 sq ft. Pool 96 sq ft will be covered 22 hours out of 24. Pool mfg says we need to exhaust the room air three times per hour to prevent condensation and mold. They also said a room dehumidifier could be added if needed. Its 3240 gallons.
