Figured I would put this here so that newbies can follow as well
so my pool has seen much better days lol It has been a weird winter here in SoCal and we have been bombarded with rain (imagine that!). I have had to drain the pool considerably 6 times already and at that point I decided to leave it be over the winter knowing I would have to do this to prep for opening so tomorrow morning will start the slam.
My plan in the morning is:
1. Remove the kreepy krauly and soak the hoses & vac in bleach water then lay out to dry as well as the thermometer tied to the ladder.
2. Full battery of tests on the water (I am predicting low CYA, 0 FC, who knows on CC and high PH)
3. Brush with the big brush then take smaller brush around corners and finally the tooth brush into the skimmer area. 2x a day until done.
4. If needed dose with MA, start my CYA in the sock at the jet and bring up the FC to slam level...
From there my checks will hit once an hour until it holds a little then move to 2 hours etc... I will keep progress and pics posted here and include bleach counts etc...
