Got pics ? Sounds like sunblocks or body oils sticking to the liner and the collecting airborne crud.Could that be part of the issue?
Does it wipe off ?

What is PQ60?I have ordered a Taylor phosphate test. Have not decided but may treat with PQ60 if I get an insane #. I just feel the need to know that aspect.
PQ60 has no effect on phosphates.Polyquat 60 - main school of thought is to only use it for closing the pool but read where some use it in certain situations. I’m on the fence about it.

What “certain situations “ are you imagining?
Yes. Took a dumbbell down and got the drain covers. I may do again.Did you remove the drain covers and scrub them and the drain after covers removed? Turn pump off when you do it.
Did you check the foam in the weir doors?
One main light - cleaned out already ; two weeks back - contained rusty powder and black chips.I can't tell from pic. Any lights?
Any idea the make/model of the lights?Three small accent lights - operating under theory they lack a niche.
And a bubbler / light on that tanning ledge in bottom right corner.
I am open to suggestion on phosphate issue if it’s insanely high. I realize the advice usually is don’t worry about it.
