Another piece of the puzzle solved. I’m inferring that the SWG will run more efficiently at this point, now that have switched modes?

Passed OCLT again. CC = 0.
Will double check when sun is up but pool looks clear of any debris at first inspection. If that’s the case, will be first day since began SLAM (July 8 or so) of this.

Have the tcell 940. Which is for the 40k. So apparently I am mistaken.

I added some more cal hypo yesterday evening around 6p for my last lap of this slam. FC was 20.5 at 1000p. My CYA is 30 as of yesterday - grey dot disappearing almost exactly at 30 or right below 30. So 30.

FC was 16 this am - water continues to be sparkling clear. Nothing dropped to bottom which I take as an excellent sign. Water has not looked this good in a year probably.

Any reason for the drop in FC overnight ? Was my pm test skewed somehow? I just can’t imagine something brewed in th pool yesterday to cause that kind of loss.

I added some to skimmer and some directly to pool fwiw. I need to backwash today, PSI is at that point.

Any thoughts on where I’m at? I was passing all tests, it’s just when I decided to throw in some cal hypo, this stuff is appearing. I’m growing weary.

A bit of dead stuff is normal sanitation that your pool cleaner should sweep up.

The chlorine in your pool is always killing stuff falling into the water.

I think you should get into normal pool maintenance mode and run your FC on the high side of the FC range.

Fairly often. Testing in am for sure. Coming home mid day often. Evening etc.

Maintaining FC often, particularly in summer, can have a big impact on how long it takes. If you can do every two hours, late in the the evening when you are home, would help.

I will slam for another day or two, get to where I’m passing criteria again, then go from there. All we are seeing at the moment are the grey-ish spots post Cal hypo treatment.

I did not backwash yesterday. My psi dropped back into what I call safe zone (not in excess of 25% over safe.) Would a good backwash and rinse assist somehow?
