Skimmer question

I opened and was in middle of a SLAM. One of my skimmer baskets broke to pieces. I really need the skimmer and skimmer sock because my pool was green. Sigh... Luckily, I had a basket ordered to be delivered today. In the meantime I have shut off my weakest skimmer and put that basket in one of my skimmers. Will running on one skimmer hurt my pump in any way?

Have you been throwing tablets in your skimmer??? If so, you are seeing the results..
